I must humbly disagree with Phishpac. The sound quality of this show is not good--it's absolutely SPECTACULAR, for an AUD recording, and you IF you DON'T download the flacs, convert to WAVs and listen to it in 16-bit on a system with tight and deep bass extension, you'll be missing out on one of the best concerts you've ever experienced. I've combed the Archive extensively the last couple years and have heard roughly 60-70% of the best Phil shows here in terms of a blend of great, or at least decent sound quality with stellar performances-and I can't recommend this show highly enough...especially if, like me, you've been in the scene mostly to follow Phil joyously plumbing the harmonic depths with his axe. Only a handful of other recordings on the Archive will give you his bass with this much tonal richness, scale depth, and extension. Endless thanks go to Jon Reisenfeld for this marvelous, stunning gem. The performances here are typical 2002- fantastic! -and we get to experience the quality of a startling wanna-be soundboard WITH the fullness of audience presence around it. Jon, you are simply a wizard!

Couldn't have asked for a better show. Here we are in Central Texas, not really out of the circuit but far from seeing anthing resembling the Grateful Dead for a long time, at a Full Bar outdoor show. And the Lesh and Friends really picked up the peices of shattered memories. They opened with a full and powerful jam that caught the crowd by surprise and then suddenly fell into groove with Friend O'the Devil that reminded us we were attending something of the GD genre. This show was great precusor for the next summer's show just 20 miles down the road at Wllie Nelson's Birthday Party where The Dead played two full and totally nostalgic sets that brought tears to my eyes, and i'm not the only one. Where we once thought these shows were gone forever, they reuturned in the form of Phil and Friends and The Dead. Anyway-back to this show, it was a great time had by all of us ex-deaders in central Texas. Did I mention it was a Full Bar?
